About the event
The Myth of Malham is one of the Solent’s most iconic offshore races and a true step up for sailors looking to experience classic offshore racing. Starting in the Solent, the course heads west to the Eddystone Lighthouse before turning back east, delivering a demanding mix of coastal tactics, open-water sailing, and the challenge of racing through the night.
Sailing aboard Mad Dash, our Eland 410, this race is all about teamwork, seamanship, and smart decision-making. It’s an ideal introduction to offshore racing, building confidence in watch systems, sail handling, navigation, and night sailing — all under race conditions but with expert guidance throughout.
As with all Sailing Hounds events, all safety equipment is provided, along with lunch before the start, a Sailing Hounds crew top, and the support of a professional skipper and first mate. A challenging, rewarding, and unforgettable offshore experience.
