About the event
The Round Ireland Yacht Race is Ireland’s premier offshore sailing challenge, a biennial, 704-nautical-mile circumnavigation of the entire Irish coastline, starting and finishing in Wicklow. It’s the longest continuous offshore race in the British Isles, testing crews against Atlantic swells, tidal races, and unpredictable weather, while passing some of Ireland’s most dramatic landmarks like Fastnet Rock and the Giant’s Causeway. This event attracts top sailors from around the world and is renowned for its demanding nature and spectacular scenery.
NOTE: We hope to meet in Wicklow three days prior to the event to allow time to prepare for the race and for training.
